The Vermont State Legislature is adjourned until January 2nd. The Vermont the session is 18 weeks long with committees meeting every day but Mondays through out that time. Crossover marks the time at which a bill must pass one chamber in order for the other chamber to consider the issue occurs in mid March. The House of Representatives consists of 150 members while the Senate consists of 30 members. The Current Speaker of the House is Mitzi Johnson and the President of the Senate is Senator Tim Ashe, both are Democrats.
